In February, the Kent Memorial Library welcomed our newest hire, Wafaa Razeq, to fill our Reference Librarian position, which was vacant since March 2020.
We received a tremendous response to our job posting, with more applications for this position than we have seen in any of our previous searches. From a wide pool of qualified applicants, Wafaa immediately stood out as our best prospective candidate, and she has already proven to be a terrific addition to our team.
Wafaa joins KML after previously working at the Cambridge Public Library. She exudes a confidence tempered by her continued pursuit of knowledge, yet maintains an eagerness and enthusiasm others can learn from. Not to mention, she brings a valuable set of skills including IT support. With a Reference Librarian back in place we look forward to expanding our virtual services in the coming weeks.
