Major Accomplishment at Hilltop Farm

FOFAH is very pleased to announce that it has met an important milestone this May. We are now moving much closer to opening the Big White Barn to the public for programs and events.

After years of rehabilitating the huge structure in order to meet all health and safety building codes for assembly, the newly installed fire suppression system was approved by the CT State Fire Marshal.

For the past 19 years, only members of the Board of Directors have been allowed to assemble inside the Barn. There have been many changes over the years of what was required in the building codes for a 20,000 square foot barn. There have been several frustrating chapters, but this latest success is all the sweeter.

This project has been led by Board Member Ray Wilcox, with the assistance of past Board President Tom Wardell. Ray and others have worked diligently to shepherd this project through the labyrinth of all the state and local building authorities.

We look forward to making the Big White Barn available for events and programs, in the future.
