The Suffield Rotary is pleased to announce the following recipients of the 2021 scholarships of $1,000 each. Each of these students represented the Rotary International motto of “Service Above Self.”
Marissa Dery was awarded the Warren Packard scholarship. Marissa plans to attend Endicott College and pursue a career in education. Marissa was also a Rotary Student of the Month.
The Rotary Scholarship awarded to a student studying in the Vocational field was given to Hollis Burt. Hollis plans to study Environmental Science.
Sydney Eitel received the Dr. Alfred Stafford scholarship. Sydney plants to attend UMASS Amherst and become a nurse practitioner.
The “Nick” Michelson scholarship was given to Laila Lawson. Laila plans to attend Howard University and study Biochemistry/Biology and become a Gynecologist-Obstetrician.
Audrey Sevigny was awarded the scholarship in memory of Lev Ahrens. Audrey plans to attend Springfield College and study Occupational Therapy.
The Elaine O’Brien scholarship was given to Molly Sheridan. Molly plans to attend the University of CT and pursue a career in Pediatrics or Psych Nursing.
The Rotary received 40 applicants for these scholarships, and we want to wish them all much success.
