Alumnae of Suffield High School gather for a sunset portrait at the Suffield Country Club during their 50th Reunion.

Suffield Country Club’s recently opened public restaurant, the 341 North Main Grill, graciously hosted our postponed SHS 50th Reunion for 83 attendees on July 10 with our classmates and guests, our class advisor, Mr. Davis, and special guest, Mr. Cecchini. It was an event to remember! We shared so much laughter, life’s experiences, surprises and memories and made new memories.

A “Welcome Class of 1970” sign started the tour of the new Suffield High School, led by Michelle Zawawi, Sarah Whitehouse and Paige Remington, on Friday, July 9. It was wonderful to see our 1970 class sports trophies and special academic awards exhibited.

The next evening was spectacular as the Calvanese family, owners of the  Grill, gave so much of their time and personal attention to ensure the menu was perfect, the table settings were blue and white and the food was at its best! Thank you to the Calvanese family and golf pro Stan McLenna, for your support. We are planning to be back in 2025!

What best expresses our reunion, is our SHS 50th Reunion picture with the colorful sunset, the greenest golf course and the beautiful landscaping. Thank you to everyone who came together for our SHS 50th Reunion and reminding us that our home is Suffield.
