Kent Memorial Library is excited to continue our popular “Books & Beyond” series in 2022. Author Martine Murray will be joining us on Thursday, March 24 at 7p.m. to discuss her novel The Last Summer of Ada Bloom via Zoom.
Murray’s masterful adult debut book explores a family’s fraught relationships in a small Australian town in the early 1980s.
The Last Summer of Ada Bloom is an honest and tender accounting of what it means to come of age as a teen, or as an adult. Martine has written a beguiling story about the fragility of family relationships, about the secrets we keep, the power they hold to shape our lives, and about the power of love to somehow hold it all together.
Martine Murray, a native and a current resident of Melbourne, Australia, is an accomplished author with a variety of other talents and interests.
Kent Memorial Library is thrilled to have her join us via Zoom from the other side of the world.
Copies are available at Kent Memorial Library and also on Hoopla.
Please register for the event at www.suffield-library.org or call 860-668-3896.
Mark your calendars for April 21 for a discussion with Susan Mihalic about her novel Dark Horses via Zoom.
