On Sunday February 20, we welcomed The Rev. Dr. Michael W. Newheart to Second Baptist Church as our Interim Pastor. Rev. Newheart comes to us as an ordained minister of the American Baptist Churches USA. After he retired from Howard University Divinity School in Washington, D.C., as Professor Emeritus of New Testament Language and Literature, he completed training in Transitional Ministry and has served three churches during the past three years. We look forward to hearing Rev. Newheart’s messages.
Tuesday, March 1, is Fat Tuesday and we will kick off Lent with games and a Paczki. If you want to find out what a Paczki is, join us from 6 – 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Second Baptist on March 1. All ages are welcome.
