The month of March in Connecticut means that spring is just around the corner. What better way to welcome warmer weather than to mark your calendars to visit the Suffield Garden Club’s annual May Market on May 14.

Combining the best flowers and plants from local farms with the arts and crafts of popular vendors, the May Market has something for everyone. Here is your opportunity to browse and buy local honey, preserves, spices, heirloom plants, home and garden décor, jewelry and much more. As always, colorful geraniums grown at the Suffield High School Vocational Agricultural center will be available for purchase at a very reasonable price.

Little red wagons, for customers to trundle their purchases to their cars, await the start of a previous May Market.

Admission is free. The Suffield Garden Club, organized in 1934, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the beautification of Suffield. Proceeds from this event support civic beautification, high school scholarships, town conservation, horticulture education, and garden therapy programs.

May Market will be held Saturday, May 14 from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. at the Phelps-Hatheway House Barn, 55 S. Main Street.
