Hair Unlimited in Suffield partnered recently with The Suffield Players to instruct actors about hairstyling and beauty techniques for their upcoming production of Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling.
Six actresses from Suffield Players enjoyed an evening of lessons at the Hair Unlimited salon in hair setting, styling, manicure and personal care under the tutelage of master colorist and design stylist Cheri DeMaria.

“We’ve been part of the Suffield community for a long time,” says Cheri. “We’ve brought up our kids here, and now our grandkids!”
Husband Tom DeMaria is supportive and admiring. “It’s all about Cheri. We bought the business in 2005, and it’s Cheri’s energy that keeps it going. She loves what she does.”
Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling takes place entirely in a hair salon, where six women gather together in friendship, sharing the joys and sorrows of life in their small town of Chinquapin, Louisiana.
The show is directed by Karen Garbalosa, and will perform at Mapleton Hall on May 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, *15, 20 and 21, at 8 p.m. (*2 pm Matinee.)
