Suffield Summer Farmers Market Coming Up!

Suffield’s Farmers Market begins its 2022 summer season on Saturday, June 18.

It is hard to believe that some of our vendors have been participating in the Market since the beginning – 21 years ago!! Our market attendees have come to depend on the ability to purchase locally grown produce and enjoy the comradery the Saturday morning market offers. A wide assortment of locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables, bakery items, plants, flowers, pork and hand crafted products are a few of the items offered. Some of our returning vendors from last season are Cupola Hollow, Merry Mite Gardens, Easy Pickins, Simpaug Farms, Bielonko Farms, Lefchek Farm, Mosher Farm, Vincent Farms, Kate Evans, Julie the Garden Fairy, In Joy by Dottie, Tarynn Michelle and Tending Home Bakery. We are still finalizing the details and talking to other vendors as well. This year, from time to time, look for special events as well as our Suffield Agriscience students, nonprofits, and visitors.

Details and weekly updates will be provided about any changes or weather cancellations on our facebook page, www.facebook.com/suffieldfarmersmarket. We also enjoy bringing you a “live” feed walk around weekly on what’s happening at the market. As technology becomes more important in our daily lives we are in the process of creating an Instagram account to keep you informed as well.

Now that we have your interest, come join us for this fun community event. Our farmers and vendors have been working hard over the past few months to bring you the very best that Connecticut Agriculture has to offer!

The Suffield Farmers Market is held rain or shine (severe weather may cause a cancelation) every Saturday from 9am to 12noon on the southern Town Green conveniently located in the center of town. The Market will run through October 1st.

Most of the farms in the market participate in the WIC coupon program and some of our vendors are now SNAP certified as well for your convenience.
