On September 10 and 11, 2022, the Sibbil Dwight Kent Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will collect your old, frayed and soiled American flags at our booth on Suffield on the Green. The flags will be held and cared for until they can be properly disposed of.
Information about our Chapter, including our genealogy workshops, Good Citizen Awards, and our new project of caring for old and historic gravestones, will be available at our booth. Children who visit the booth will also be given a mini-American flag on a first-come first-served basis. Our own member, Liz Stanley, has donated a beautiful pencil drawing to tempt you to take a chance on winning it.
