Walking Trail Initiated

After First Selectman Colin Moll cut the ribbon for the new multi-use walking trail on July 1, he and a few others from the gathering who heard his comments on connectivity walked up and back along Mountain Road the full length of the trail, from the Middle School driveway to Plantation Drive. Pictured a short distance west of Sacred Heart Church are, from the left: Suffield’s representative to the regional tourism bureau, Gayle Demko; Selectman Kathie Harrington; Selectman Mel Chafetz; Parks & Rec Director Peter Leclerc; and First Selectman Moll.

The Barn on the Hill

The big red barn on the first hill on Hill Street is patched and all set for the harvest to be gathered and stored within the walls. Time does fly. Even the trees are bursting with beauty.

Water Stop

Steam engines need a supply of water as well as fuel for their boilers. So, when John Linderman was part of a caravan of antique cars passing through Suffield recently, he made a pre-arranged stop at Bernard and Gloria Magliozzi’s house on Phelps Road to fill the tank of his 1910 four-seat Stanley Steamer.
