Children Programs

Fiber Friendly
Wednesdays, October 12 and 26 at 4 p.m.
Are you someone who likes to knit, crochet, embroider, or engage in any other fiber-related interests? Bring a project you’re working on or start something new! Join us on alternate Wednesdays for conversation, camaraderie, and fiber artistry. Open to all ages; children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required; marble table seats 10.

Story Time
Wednesdays, October 5, 12, 19, 26 at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesdays, October 4, 11, 18, and 25 at 10:30 a.m.
Stories, activities, songs, and a craft. Ages 2-5. Registration appreciated, drop-in welcomed. Register for each story time separately.

Rhyme Time
Fridays at 10:30 a.m.
Bring your singing voice! We sing, dance, blow bubbles — and have fun! Drop in. Recommended ages 0-5.

Halloween Drop-In Family Craft
Saturday, October 8, 10:30 am; while supplies last.
A variety of Halloween crafts to help celebrate the season! Ages 3 and up. No registration, just drop in!

Halloween Party Led by Teen Creativity Council
Thursday, October 27 at 4 p.m.
We’re making spooky crafts and playing games while celebrating Halloween at KML! Costumes are encouraged but not required. Open to kids age 3 and older and their families.

Teen Game Time
Thursday, October 6 at 3:30 p.m.Unwind and have fun after school with a rousing game of Munchkin or Cards Against Humanity (Family Edition)! Grades 5-12. No registration, just drop in!

Movie: Hocus Pocus
Thursday, October 13 at 3:30 p.m.It’s Halloween season again and time to watch perennial favorite Hocus Pocus! A curious youngster moves to Salem, where he struggles to fit in before awakening a trio of diabolical witches that were executed in the 17th century. (1993. PG. 1h 36m)

Teen Creativity Council
Thursday, October 20 at 3:30 p.m.
Join the Teen Creativity Council every third Thursday of the month to plan teen events, work on projects with the library’s collection, suggest books, and more! Community service hours will be awarded. And as always, there will be a snack!

Girls Who Code
Tuesdays October 4, 11, 18, 25 at 3:30 pm
Learn to code; change the world. Join our Girls Who Code club! We’ll learn how to design and build games, apps, and other things you dream up. Open to all people in grades 6-12. Public computers will be available, but feel free to bring your own laptop or tablet. For all people in grades 6-12. Registration is required.
