Suffield Alight wowed Suffield townspeople again this year with some favorites as well as some welcome additions. The First Selectman’s office (Colin Moll and Kris Lambert), the Town Highway Department, Parks and Rec, Bill’s Landscaping and Dave Camera’s Shoreline Audio and Visual worked together to create another beautiful and enjoyable evening of holiday cheer. What started as a COVID-friendly event, has become a welcome addition to the season, with beautiful lights, good music provided by DJ Kevin Landolina and good food.

Horse-Drawn Wagon

Santa and Mrs. Claus (Jerry and Pat Bland) arrived on a carriage drawn by Belgian draft horses provided by Keith Oullette’s Mainely Drafts Horse and Carriage. The Grinch and Cindy Lou Who were there, too. Horse drawn carriage rides were a draw for many. Several local groups participated including Suffield Community Aid, Roaring Acres alpaca farm, Second Baptist Co-op, the Suffield Tree Committee, the FFA, the Boy Scouts, the Suffield Academy and Kent Memorial Library. New to the festivities was AJ at the Bistro Restaurant who stayed open to provide hot chocolate to the crowd, a DJ providing great music and two food trucks from Chick-fil-A and Suffield’s Fire on the Mountain Restaurant, very popular additions. Rounding out the evening were all the wonderfully decorated Town vehicles. Thanks to all who helped create a memorable night. Your hard work and time are appreciated by the many who joined in the fun.
