Everyone needs a little help from time to time, and the Suffield community wants to provide support when you need it. Here’s what’s available in March:
24 hrs/day and 7 days/week there are two outdoor food cabinets with supplies:
- Suffield Community Aid (SCA) 450 South Street)
- First Church of Christ, Congregational (81 High Street)
Monday-Friday from 8-4 p.m. by appointment – Suffield Community Aid (450 South St) has a food pantry available to Suffield residents who qualify, where you can pick up what you need OR staff will pre-pack for you. Proof of residency and income documentation are required. All assistance is kept strictly confidential. Call SCA to learn more and make an appointment (860) 668-1986.
For Seniors – Suffield Community Aid will cover the cost of up to two lunches at the Senior Center each week for financially qualified seniors and disabled adults. Call SCA for more info at (860) 668-1986.
Meals-on-Wheels – Through Community Renewal Team (CRT), lunches are delivered to Suffield homebound seniors, ages 60+ by Suffield Community Aid volunteers five days per week. The suggested donation is $3.00 per meal. Please call SCA to learn more.
Wednesday/Thursday Senior Lunches – $5/lunch, join us at noon in the Senior Center (145 Bridge St).
March 9 from 5:00-6:30 – Crossroads Food Pantry for Suffield residents only – West Suffield Congregational Church (1408 Mountain Rd W Suffield).
March 14 and March 28 from 1:15-1:45 – FoodShare (mobile food truck) available – West Suffield Congregational Church (1408 Mountain Rd, W Suffield).
If you want to donate – there is a donation box in Suffield Village Market by the exit – if you’d like to make a contribution to Suffield Community Aid’s Food Pantry. Donations can also be dropped off at Suffield Community Aid during regular business hours (Monday – Friday from 8am-4pm).
