State House Representative Tami Zawistowski and Major General (Retired) Thaddeus Martin are pictured at the State Armory in January when Gen. Martin was honored.

Major General (Retired) Thaddeus Martin of Suffield was one of 12 highly notable veterans inducted into the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame at the State Armory in Hartford on January 19, 2023. General Martin served 13 years as Adjutant General of The Connecticut National Guard and had a crucial role in keeping the Bradley Air National Guard base in East Granby open after it was targeted for Base Realignment Closure (BRAC) in 2005.

Those selected for the CT Veterans Hall of Fame are veterans who have honorably served their country through military service, who continue to serve their communities, state and nation, and who inspire others to excellence through their deeds and accomplishments.

Congratulations to General Martin on this well-deserved honor.
