Catch Spring Fever with Suffield Parks & Recreation

Spring Flag Football Season

Who says football can only be played in the fall? The Suffield Parks & Recreation Department will be holding our third season of Flag Football this spring. There are four different age groups to sign up for. Future Ballers: Ages 4-5, Level 1: Ages 6-8, Level 2: Ages 9-11, Level 3: Ages 12-14. Practices are held once per week and a game will be played on Friday nights. Participants will run, throw, and catch many touchdowns throughout the season. Consider joining the action this spring!

Spring Tee Ball

Children will use a stationary tee to hit a modified ball to introduce them to the game of baseball and softball. This program focuses on skills and fundamentals and is a non-competitive fun activity for boys and girls in Kindergarten and grades 1 and 2. Practices are held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings throughout the spring.

Adult Pickleball League

Come join our second running of Adult Pickleball League. The game of pickleball combines elements of tennis, ping-pong and badminton. The rules are simple and the game is easy to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game. The league is broken into two groups, Beginners and Intermediate. Games are played on Wednesday nights in the Suffield Middle School between 5-8 p.m. Join the pickleball fever and sign up today!

April Break Vacation Camp: Fun doesn’t take a break, even when school does!

This camp provides children in grades K-2 with a fun opportunity to enjoy various activities, sports, games and arts & crafts during April Break. Starting Tuesday, April 11 to Thursday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to noon campers will spend their days exploring and learning, showing off their creativity with arts and crafts, participating in games and much more.

Bump, Set, & Spike with Adult Volleyball!

Beginning in mid-April, this recreational volleyball program is offered for adults 18 and older who are looking to stay active and have fun while playing the exciting and engaging sport of volleyball.

Swinging into Spring with Adult & Youth Golf Lessons

Are you looking to improve your golf game for the upcoming spring and summer? If you are, then Suffield Parks & Recreation has you covered! We will be working with Copper Hill Golf Academy to hold instructional lessons for both adults and youth. Lessons will be held on Wednesday evenings. Youth from ages 9-13 will have lessons from 4:30-5:30 p.m. and adults will have their lessons held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Copper Hill Golf Club in East Granby.

Men’s Recreational Basketball

Join us this spring for Men’s Recreational Basketball at the Suffield High School gymnasium. This program is for men who are 25 years and older. All basketball skill levels are welcome. Men’s Recreational Basketball will be held for eight weeks throughout the spring.
