Four Dads Pub Comes to Congamond

A local Granby restaurant is coming to the Congamond Lakes area. Four Dads Pub, first established by four fathers from Granby looking for a good local establishment to hang with friends, enjoy good food and hear good local music, opened in the fall of 2020. Since that time, it has become a staple in the town of Granby. They describe their food as “old school home cooking with a modern edge.” A second location opened in downtown Hartford in March of 2022, and it’s doing a thriving business as well.

The original four dads were looking for a place that was reminiscent of the late 80s and 90s when they would venture out with friends and family. They were looking to create a welcoming atmosphere for friends and neighbors that served good home-style comfort food that can’t go wrong. If you look at their logo, there is a nod to Metallica and you will see that same rock theme scattered throughout many menu items, such as “Lettuce Rock Your World” or the meatball sub – “Meatallica”. There is a kid’s menu and weekly family specials.

The new Southwick location will be at 141 Congamond Road, on South Pond. They hope to open by Memorial Day, just in time for the boating season on all the lakes and close to the bike trail. They will be open most weekdays from 11 a.m. to close and Sundays 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. They have redone the large deck area. This will be their largest location to date, with even an option for a banquet room. As in the other two locations, live music will be a regular staple, and if the weather happens to not cooperate, there is enough room to move the music inside. Check their website, fourdadspub.com, for updated information on the opening, as well as checking out the menu.
