Second Baptist Church is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, May 10 in Fellowship Hall. For an appointment, please visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Due to overwhelming positive feedback from its first event, Second Baptist Church will host it’s second Open Mic event on Friday, May 12. This will take place in Fellowship Hall from 6-8 p.m. People can play instruments, sing, share poetry, and more! Our Growth and Outreach Ministry will be on the Town Green during the townwide Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29. They will be handing out lapel poppies. All donations collected will go to the American Legion.

A Memorial Service for Luther Killam will be held at Second Baptist Church in the sanctuary on Monday, May 29 at 11:30 am. A reception to share stories with family and friends will be held after the service in Fellowship Hall. Luther died on December 26, 2022, and was a proud US Army veteran and long-time member of Second Baptist. In honor of Luther’s service to the country and his love for Memorial Day and everything patriotic please feel free to wear your patriotic red, white, and blue apparel to his service.

Mark your calendars for Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Second Baptist Church July 10-14 from 9 a.m. to noon. Please join us for an exciting week of music, crafts, snacks and more. For kids ages 4-12. Registration fee is $15 and forms are available by calling the church office at 860-668-1661 or click on our Facebook page.
