Although the end of the year is still several weeks away, it is not too early to think about the supplies your students will need on the first day of school in the fall. Again this year, the Suffield Foundation for Excellent Schools (SFES) is partnering with 1st Day School Supplies to provide class kits for Spaulding and McAlister schools.
Due to the success of last year’s program, and by special request, we have added the three grades at Suffield Middle School. Take the aggravation out of running around this summer to gather school supplies and help out the SFES at the same time. We have worked with the schools to create a list of the core supplies needed for each grade.
If you would like to participate, go to www.1stdayschoolsupplies.com and enter 06078 as the zip code to find the schools. Click on the grade you need and see the list of supplies. Prices vary but each kit includes a $5 contribution to the SFES, which funds grants to the Suffield Public Schools. There is also an option to donate a kit to the school should you so desire.
Although headphones, calculators and homework planners are required items, they are listed as optional due to the more personal preferences and variety available.
The deadline to participate is June 30, 2023, so get your order in before that! Delivery will be in August with specific details to follow as the date gets closer.
