First Church of Christ, Congregational UCC of Suffield, CT is an open and affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ. First Church welcomes all to join us in faith and worship Sunday mornings at 10 a.m., in-person or through our YouTube livestream.
No matter who you are, or where you are, on life’s journey, YOU are welcome here. Come as you are, for this is God’s house—a house of prayer for all people, and God welcomes each one who comes. First Church welcomes all new attendees, and those who have attended many years, to join us for worship for 1 minute, 1 Sunday, 1 month, 1 year…whatever calls to you!

Rev. Diann continues to run a dedicated and vibrant Wednesday morning Bible study group at 10 a.m. each week via Zoom; contact us for more information.

Our summer season kicks off with Celebration Sunday on June 4! Join us at 8:30 a.m. for a delicious pancake breakfast, with worship following at 10 a.m. Our celebration Sunday is a day to lift up all we have accomplished as a faith community since our September kick-off.

June is Pride month! Join First Church and Suffield ABAR for our Pride celebration on Sunday, June 11, 12 p.m.-4 p.m. There will be vendors, speakers, music, and fun for all! Suffield Pride is always looking for donations- contact the church office for information on making a donation.

Saturday June 17, First Church joins others from the community at Third Baptist Church for our Juneteenth celebration. More information is available through the church office.

Beginning June 25, First Church and Second Baptist Church will combine their worship services, gathering to worship in community at Second Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Combined worship services at Second Baptist Church will continue through the month of July.

Our Blessing Box is located right in front of First Church on High Street and is open to our neighbors and community members to “take what you need; leave what you can”. We encourage our community to donate; please do not donate perishable foods or foods requiring refrigeration.

First Church hosts support groups in our building for their meetings, including Narcotics Anonymous, Families Anonymous, and Alcoholics Anonymous. Contact us for the full list of meeting information.

As COVID-19 Suffield community levels fluctuate, we will monitor the Connecticut State community levels COVID Levels map and make weekly recommendations for masking based on the information available.
