Brynna Tinnirella has earned the honor of Valedictorian for the Suffield High School Class of 2023. Brynna is the National Honor Society Sigma Chapter President, Vice President of the French Honor Society, an active member of the World Language Honor Society, Interact Club, Student Athlete Advisory Council and the Class Historian. She has played a lead role in four musical productions with the SHS Drama Club, been involved with Unified Theater and performed with the Chamber Choir.
Athletically, Brynna has been a four-year varsity starter on the girls soccer team. She was the team captain this past fall and earned All Conference honors. She has participated in Indoor and Outdoor Track for three years. She was a member of the State 4×800 relay team and NCCC qualifier.
Brynna has completed hundreds of hours of community service for/with the Suffield Soccer Club, Suffield Community Aid, Rotary Club, Suffield Parks and Recreation, Kyla’s Krusaders and Sacred Heart Church.
Brynna has earned the CGSCA All-State Scholar Athlete Award, Suffield Parks and Recreation Youth Leadership Award, CIAC Scholar Athlete Award, Delmar F. Sisson Memorial Award for Excellence in Social Studies, CT Association of Schools Scholar Leader Award, Rotary Citizenship Award, French IV and V Awards, AP Psychology Award, and Biology Award. She has also earned College Board National Rural and Small Town Recognition and been a US Senate Youth Program CT Finalist.
Brynna plans to attend the University of Connecticut next year and major in Political Science and minor in French. She would like to study abroad to immerse herself in French culture and study comparative politics in Europe. She plans to attend law school and enter the legal field or earn a teaching certificate to become a social studies teacher.
Vincent Nguyen has earned the honor of Salutatorian for the Suffield High School Class of 2023. Vincent is the Earth and Outing Club President, Co-Chairman of the Technology Advisory Board, Public Relations Officer of the World Language Honor Society and an active member of the National Honor Society Sigma Chapter. He is also a Junior EMT for the Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association.
Vincent has earned the Superintendent’s Student Recognition Award, AP Scholar with Honor Award, SWE Certificate of Merit for Excellence in Science and Mathematics, the George Eastman Young Leaders Award, the Rensselaer Math and Science Award, Excellence in Spanish III and IV Awards, Excellence in AP American History Award, English III Award, AP Calculus Award, Chemistry Award, CAS Leadership Award, and the Certificate of Merit for Scholastic Challenge. He has been a part of the President’s Education Awards Program for Outstanding Academic Excellence and the National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program.
Vincent will be attending the University of Connecticut next year, majoring in Computer Science. He plans to become a software engineer.
