Emily Brydges, from Suffield, currently studying Economics and Mathematics at Wellesley College, was awarded one of five $1,500 scholarships from FirstLight Power. FirstLight Power, a leading clean power producer, developer, and energy storage company, today announced the winners of five scholarships to family members of FirstLight employees. Each candidate submitted an essay on how renewable energy impacts their lives. The submissions were reviewed by FirstLight’s culture committee, which was revamped in 2023 with the mission of enhancing employee participation in building a strong company culture. The five recipients were awarded the scholarships during a ceremony held at Northfield Mountain.
