Albert Rusilowicz
Suffield has a new Finance Director! Al Rusilowicz joins us from the Town of Middlefield where he served as the Director of Finance for the past six years.
Al is a Connecticut native, born in Plainville. He earned a BS in Accounting at Central Connecticut State College in 1980 and earned a CPA certification in 1981. In 1991 Al, Beth and new daughter Andea moved to Killingworth, where Al opened his own CPA firm, providing auditing services to numerous municipalities, governmental entities, and not-for-profit organizations for over 25 years.
This is the second time Al has been hired as Suffield’s Finance Director. He was originally hired at the end of 2021, but within a few days Middlefield’s First Selectman passed away unexpectedly, and Al felt that he had to return to Middlefield to help them manage an orderly transition to new leadership. Al was happy for the opportunity to rejoin the Town of Suffield in June of this year.
Al and Beth relocated to Southwick, Mass. three years ago, an easy commute to Suffield. In their free time they enjoy boating and were very happy to find a new slip on Lake Congamond for their Yamaha jet boat.
