The 2023/2024 School Year is in full swing, and we are very excited about enhancing our Clubs and Activities for the students. School clubs can significantly affect a student’s overall educational experience. They provide opportunities for students to pursue their interests and hobbies and offer a chance to develop valuable skills and enhance leadership skills to create lifelong friendships.

Currently at A. Ward Spaulding School, administration and teachers will be coordinating enrichment and recreation activities that will meet once or twice a week for a few weeks. Activities such as STEM, art and fitness games are some examples of what has been offered in the past. What will this year bring? Keep a close eye in the newsletters and email to see what will be offered this year.

At McAlister Intermediate School, Funky Foot and Final Mile have always been very popular for the students. Last year almost 150 combined runners and walkers met before school and started their day with extra energy. Math Olympiads and Student Council will start up very soon so stay tuned for those announcements. Our Unified Sports program is also very popular and will be looking for members to meet up and have some fun.

Suffield Middle School currently offers 17 different clubs and activities ranging from Athletic Intramurals, Unified Theatre, Art Club and Student Council. The always popular Drama Productions and Variety Show will keep you at the edge of your seat. We are excited to announce that the Ski Club will be offered again this winter. Stay tuned for more information about when we will be hitting the slopes!

Suffield High School offers 27 clubs and activities that provide opportunities for almost everyone! Mr. Grimard’s Earth and Outing Club is always an adventure as you explore the Outdoor Learning Lab. The Interact Club is always looking for more individuals to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of service. Did you know one of our clubs has won four State Championships and a New England Championship? That’s right! The Aces High Robotics is looking for more members to help them try and win their fifth State Championship in a row! Tune in to the morning announcements, check your email or look out for posters throughout the school to see what clubs are meeting and where.
