Musings and Meanderings from West Suffield Congregational

I am a blessed pastor in a community that has very little drama. The unstinting support of the members at the West Suffield congregation makes my job easy, and it allows me to be adventurous. I participated in my first SOTG event! It was wonderful to be in this community and meet so many friendly people. I even got to go in the dunk tank! Jacob, one of our Sunday School kids, managed to dunk me on the first throw. I had to get special dispensation to go in the tank, and then they neglected to tell me there was a place to put your foot on to step out. For a few seconds I thought I would have to stay in that thing until it evaporated. Giggles abounded from my congregants who were filming.

By the time this Observer comes out we will have had our first “kid’s afternoon”, and every last Saturday of the month thereafter we will find some new activity to explore. This month will be our Halloween Party on the 28th of October, from 2 to 4 p.m. (There will be online sign-ups). I promise not to wear my T-Rex costume this year; I only got to wear it for five minutes last October because one little girl wasn’t too sure about it. Maybe this year I’ll be a butterfly instead.

Thank you for being such a welcoming community.
