The Suffield Arts Council will feature a photographic presentation entitled Nola Pio by a sister and brother team, Nancy Leiper and Ray Pioggia, in the Pinney Gallery of Suffield’s Kent Memorial Library, during the month of October. This unique joint artistic effort has taken months to complete, with the goal to create images that illustrate biblical events, characters, and icons, in a cinematic fashion.
Samson and Delilah
Each artist pursues their own career. Nancy is an independent conceptual artist, actor, playwright, and set/costume designer. Ray is a commercial photographer and photojournalist. The chemistry that results through the combining of their respective skills results in the thought-provoking imagery found here.
The show opens Tuesday, October 3, and will remain open through Tuesday, October 31. A Reception, open to the public, is scheduled for Thursday evening, October 12, from 6-8 p.m.
