The Suffield Historical Society will meet on Wednesday, November 15, 7:00 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church and by Zoom. Bill Fournier, who has studied the history of King’s Island extensively, will commemorate the 150th anniversary of Adventists awaiting the predicted end of the world in November 1873 on what was then known as Terry’s Island. Bill will share his discoveries about the event, the Terry family, and life on the Connecticut River island in the late 19th century. The public is welcome to attend.
