Last month, the Suffield Agriscience program hosted the February Suffield Garden Club meeting that is held every four years which included a presentation along with lunch. The horticulture classes also attended the CT Flower and Garden Show at the end of February as they continued to learn about the industry.
In March and April, we have some fantastic events coming up! Mark your calendars for Ag Bingo on March 14 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at Suffield High School. Ag Bingo is a fun and engaging event that we started last year to fundraise for the program to offset costs of large agriscience trips. Come support and get a chance to win amazing prizes by participating in bingo or the raffle.
On April 3 and 4, Suffield Agriscience hosts the biannual Ag Expo which is fun for all ages. This exciting event is an opportunity for students from the Suffield Regional Agriscience Program to showcase their accomplishments and skills they have gained through their classes and experiences. Ag Expo will be open to the public. We encourage people of all ages to attend! Visitors can take a tour of the program facilities, view a scheduled demonstration, or explore the classrooms and labs on their own and ask questions to agriscience students stationed there. The more the merrier, and we hope you will attend!
