The Suffield Greater Together Community Fund (GTCF) at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving is announcing an open call for grant applications, starting March 1. The deadline for all grant applications is April 15th, 2024. Please visit hfpg.org/suffieldcf to find more information and fill out an application.

In 2019, the Hartford Foundation established a $100,000 Greater Together Community Fund (GTCF) for each of the 29 towns in the Greater Hartford region, which includes the town of Suffield. The Hartford Foundation has since added an additional $70,000 to each Community Fund with half of the funding being maintained in the Funds’ endowments and the remaining half to support current grantmaking efforts.

The goal is to award grants to support programs which will improve the quality of life for the residents of Suffield. During the recent 2023 grant cycle, the Suffield Greater Together Community Fund awarded grants totaling $22,811 to six local organizations. To date, the Suffield Community Fund has awarded a total of $66,811 in grants.

The Suffield Greater Together Community Fund Advisory Committee understands that there is a variety of potential projects to improve the quality of life in Suffield. The committee encourages organizations to consider applying for a grant during this cycle.
