First Church of Christ, Congregational UCC of Suffield, CT is an open and affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ. First Church welcomes all to join us in worship on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m., in-person or through our YouTube livestream.
No matter who you are, or where you are, on life’s journey, YOU are welcome here. Come as you are, for this is God’s house—a house of prayer for all people, and God welcomes each one who comes.
Rev. Diann continues to run a dedicated and vibrant Wednesday morning Study Group at 10 a.m. each week via Zoom; contact us for more information.
On Saturday, April 27 we will be participating in a workday to support Revitalize Community Development Corp (RCDC). (RCDC) works with homeowners, community members, and city officials to renovate, repair, and modify unhealthy homes to improve the wellbeing of our neighbors, providing free critical repairs, modifications and rehabilitation on the homes of low-income families with children, the elderly, veterans and individuals with disabilities. Contact the church for more information on how you can help with this powerful mission!
We will be providing a meal for our neighbors in need in Northampton, Mass. with Cathedral in the Night, April 28. Cathedral in the Night seeks to create a safe place for all people to gather for worship and a meal, and to empower one another to engage in issues of social justice by working to fight the causes of inequality and homelessness. Contact the church for more information, to sign up to donate or to help by serving the meal.
Our Blessing Box is located right in front of First Church on High St. and is open to our neighbors and community members to “take what you need; leave what you can”. We encourage our community to donate. Please do not donate perishable foods or foods requiring refrigeration.
First Church hosts support groups in our building for their meetings, including Narcotics Anonymous, Families Anonymous, and Alcoholics Anonymous. Contact us for the full list of meeting information.
Our church office will be closed on April 1, April 9, and April 18.
