The Suffield Players, a renowned theater company dedicated to promoting the performing arts, is pleased to announce the opening of applications for two prestigious scholarships – The Eugene Biggio Memorial Drama Scholarship and The Robert Alcorn Memorial Scholarship.
The Eugene Biggio Memorial Drama Scholarship, named in honor of a past president of The Suffield Players, is open to students in grades K-12 with a passion for the performing arts. This scholarship aims to support and nurture the artistic talents of young individuals by providing funds for the study of drama.
To apply for the Eugene Biggio Memorial Drama Scholarship, interested students can access the application form online on the Suffield Players website. The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2024, and recipients will be selected by The Suffield Players’ Board of Directors, who will serve as the scholarship selection committee.
The Robert Alcorn Memorial Scholarship, named after The Suffield Players’ first president, is exclusively for high school graduates pursuing further studies in the performing arts. This scholarship is designed to assist aspiring artists in their academic and artistic endeavors.
High school graduates interested in applying for The Robert Alcorn Memorial Scholarship can find the application form online on the Suffield Players website. The submission deadline is May 1, 2024, and the Board of Directors will announce the scholarship recipients during the Annual Meeting held every June.
The Suffield Players invite generous individuals and organizations to contribute to the Scholarship Fund.
