On March 23 Suffield Cub Scout Troop 266, led by Assistant Cubmaster Heather Carroll and Unit Cubmaster Nate Prusi, spent the evening aboard the Intrepid Battleship in Manhattan as part of Operation Slumber. Scouts and their families slept on cots in the hangar deck, dined in the mess deck, explored the ship with tour guides. Scouts experienced a kamikaze movie with special effects, 4D ride experiences of Intrepid Aviators and “rollercoasters” through space.
