First Church is delighted to be a part of the Suffield Art Trail! The sanctuary at 81 High Street will be open to visitors from 10-4 on Saturday, May 18. Pastel artist Jane Penfield will also be offering demonstrations on the premises.
The Coventry Choir, under the co-direction of Catherine Moulton and Brian Parks (Fellow of the American Guild of Organists and former Minister of Music at First Church), will present a free concert at First Church on Saturday, May 25 at 4 p.m.

The Coventry Choir is made up of youth musicians of Marietta First United Methodist Church, a metropolitan parish in northwest Atlanta of some 4,000 members. The choir, founded in 1966 by Lindell DeJarnett, is composed of singers and instrumentalists in grades 6-12 and is now on its 57th annual tour. On tours, they live collaboratively, engage in direct-impact missional work, build community through music and worship, and experience different parts of the world through the world’s living communities. They will be singing works that include the modern gospel tradition as well as early monodic Anglican liturgical chant. Other featured composers include Leonard Cohen; Mark Miller; John Bell; Brian Parks; S.S. Wesley; Richard Smallwood; and T. L. de Victoria. The Choir will also lend its gifts to morning worship at First Church on Sunday, May 26 at 10 a.m..
Rev. Diann continues to run a dedicated and vibrant Wednesday morning Study Group at 10 a.m. each week via Zoom; contact us for more information.
Our Blessing Box is located right in front of First Church on High St and is open to our neighbors and community members to “take what you need; leave what you can.” We encourage our community to donate; please do not donate perishable foods or foods requiring refrigeration.
First Church hosts support groups in our building for their meetings, including Narcotics Anonymous, Families Anonymous, and Alcoholics Anonymous. Contact us for the full list of meeting information.
