On Saturday March 23, Scout Troop 66 got to use the shooting range at the Enfield Hunting Club.

We learned how to use .22 rifles and shotguns safely. Gun safety is very important, and we had to follow the rules. We had a lot of fun shooting at the targets. To earn the rifle badge, we had to get five shots within a quarter radius and talk about safety.

Our favorite part was shooting the .22 rifle with the scope.
Troop 66 would like to thank the Enfield Hunting Club for hosting us!

Note from Scout Troop 66: The Troop is headed to Upstate New York for some caving and spring break experiences. Other upcoming events include the 100th Anniversary of Workomen Scout Camp and the Alaska Trip.

Interested potential scouts 5th grade and up are welcome to attend a meeting on Mondays at 7 p.m. at the church hall at the West Suffield Congregational Church to learn more about camping, skills, leadership, and activities.

Any questions can be addressed to Troop Committee Chair Aaron Marcavitch (marcavitch@gmail.com).
