The Economic Development Commission and the Town of Suffield are proud to host the Seward Johnson statues! These iconic works of art will inspire our community and encourage tourism within this part of the state through the summer months. The Seward Johnson Art Trail will showcase the many beautiful aspects of Suffield and will foster the pride of residents and visitors alike for our historic rural town and its businesses.
The May 18 kickoff is designed to create community vibrancy by inviting residents and visitors to celebrate the internationally renowned art of Seward Johnson statues, which are leased for a three-month period. May 18 features art from both the public K-12 schools and Suffield Academy (9-12) art shows, as well as additional professional artists, who will perform and display their works. Historical museum tours and art and music venues will be available during the day.
The trail will be available and publicized for the summer months, with a variety of activities planned including a geocaching event.
