Emma Conway has earned the honor of Valedictorian for the Suffield Class of 2024! Emma has been an active member of the school’s Math Team, Principal’s Student Advisory Council, Science Fair Club, World Language Honor Society and President of the National Honor Society. She has volunteered with many different activities and organizations, including the Suffield House, the Dustin Doyon Memorial Road Race and Conway’s Kiddie Kollege. One of Emma’s passions is running. She has earned all-conference honors as a captain on the Cross-Country team and the Indoor and Outdoor Track teams. Emma has earned the following honors in high school: U.S. Presidential Scholar Candidate, American History Award, Mathematics Award, RPI Math & Science Award, RIT Scholarship Award for Business & Leadership, Society of Women Engineers Certificate of Merit for Excellence in Science & Math, and CT Science Fair Project Awards. After graduating from SHS Emma plans to pursue a degree in Biology and Biotechnology at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Ava Aube has earned the honor of Salutatorian for the Suffield High School class of 2024! Ava is an active member of the school’s Model United Nations, Debate Team, National Honor Society and Principal’s Student Advisory Council. She has been the President of the World Language Honor Society for three years and captain of the varsity volleyball and girl’s golf teams. This year she helped lead the SHS volleyball team to their third straight NCCC championship. Additionally, she has volunteered with Parks and Recreation summer volleyball camps, at Sacred Heart Church, in the Southwick Public Schools and at the Bay State Gymnastics Invitational. Throughout high school, Ava has earned several awards including CAS/CIAC Scholar Athlete Award, a Gold Award in Connecticut Student Writer’s Project, the College Board AP Scholar with Distinction Award, the College Board National Rural and Small-Town Recognition Award, Gettysburg College Book Award, RIT Women in STEM Scholarship Award, SHS Scholar Athlete Award, the Priscilla Maxwell Endicott Scholarship, and the Connecticut Building Congress’s Scholarship. After graduating from SHS Ava plans to attend Hofstra University and dual major in civil engineering and pre-law.
