A Note from SCA’s Outgoing Director, Danielle Annibalini

To the Wonderful Residents of Suffield,

As my tenure comes to an end as SCA Executive Director, I want to extend my gratitude for the outpouring of support during this fulfilling chapter of my career journey. To say that my time in Suffield has been wonderful is an understatement! It’s been such a joy getting to know so many of our community members and stakeholders! Thank you for your warmth and kindness.

I also have the great privilege of introducing you to SCA’s new Executive Director, Mary Curtin, MSW. Mary brings with her a wealth of knowledge as a clinical social worker, who’s dedicated her career to the human services field as well as professional education in higher education settings. Our Board of Directors and team are thrilled to welcome Mary on board. Mary made her official start on Wednesday, May 15th and encourages you to stop in to say hello!

With gratitude,
Danielle Annibalini, LCSW

“Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive:

On Saturday, May 11, SCA was fortunate to be the recipients of the donations collected during the Mail Carriers Annual “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive. Suffield, you are amazing! Thanks to you and our dedicated volunteers, our shelves are well stocked and organized for pantry visitors. The summer months tend to be a time when we see donations slow down, so the surplus of pantry donations arrived just in time!

Summer Camp Subsidies:

It’s not too late to plan for the summer months! SCA offers camp subsidies for Suffield youth to attend summer camp of their choosing. Please contact SCA to see if you qualify.

Rental Rebate Program for Elderly & Disabled Residents:

The State provides a reimbursement program for renters who are elderly or disabled, and whose incomes do not exceed certain limits. SCA now is taking applications!

SCA Garden is Underway:

SCA’s garden volunteers have been hard at work planning and planting our community garden! If you are low-income and would like to be added to our contact list to be notified when fresh vegetables and herbs are available, please contact Jo Dzioba at jod@suffieldcommunityaid.org
