Suffield’s Girl Scouts came together for another great weekend camporee. As is becoming an annual tradition, the event was held at Camp Woodstock in the rain. However, no spirits were dampened, and everyone had a great time. Scouts participated in activities such as archery, boating, crafts, climbing, field games and outdoor cooking. Plus, the scouts took some time to learn how to best plan for wilderness survival. Leaders supported an evening of s’mores and a campfire (indoors) where scouts performed a variety of skits, songs, and comedy. Camp Woodstock, a YMCA camp, has great cabins for all the scouts, as well as an incredible mess hall with everyone’s favorite – garlic knots. Scout troops look forward to this big event every year!
