First Church of Christ joyously embarks on our 2024-2025 season with Kick-Off Sunday, September 8. Join us at 9 a.m. for a light “Welcome!” breakfast followed by worship at 10 a.m. All are welcome to join us as we explore and celebrate our faith “Together in Community.”
Following worship, head on out to Suffield on the Green, the town’s biggest event of the year, and stop by our booth! Take a stroll, check out the activities, and lunch right on the green at this fun, town-wide event for all ages! Join in on the fun at Suffield on the Green on Saturday, September 7 as well, and grab a yummy item at our “Tasty Treats” bake sale table – all proceeds support our Rise Against Hunger event for this year.

Our Hands on Faith program will begin this month, and registration for youth in kindergarten through 7th grade is available beginning on Kick-Off Sunday. This fun and interactive kids’ program is offered two Sunday’s a month during worship for youth to participate in a hands-on activity involving faith. Contact the church for more information.
Music at First Church begins! Our Chancel Choir and Sonotori Bell Choir begin rehearsals this month. Our Chancel Choir welcomes new voices, any level, high school age and up to join us in song as we lift our voices in praise to God! No singing experience required. Our Blessing Box is located right in front of First Church on High St and is open to our neighbors and community members to “take what you need; leave what you can.” We encourage our community to donate; please do not donate perishable foods, foods requiring refrigeration, expired food.
First Church hosts support groups in our building for their meetings, including Narcotics Anonymous, Families Anonymous, and Alcoholics Anonymous. Contact us for the full list of meeting information.
Our church in-office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Please contact the church office (office@fcsuffield.org) to request an in-church appt, if needed. Voicemails and emails will be reviewed daily.
