Deborah Haeseler works at Suffield’s Old Cemetery behind First Church.
Deborah Haeseler, member of the Sibbil Dwight Kent Chapter of the American Revolution, has been busy at the Old Cemetery this summer with a focus on veterans of the Revolutionary War. Appropriate methods were used to clean and document the gravestones for the 40 or more Patriots buried there. The Chapter is using this information in their plans to commemorate the 250th celebration of the United States in 2026.
We were happy to provide our information to the Veterans Memorial Expansion Committee. We are at the cemetery most Tuesday afternoons at 4:30 p.m. and invite you to join us.
