The Beauty of the Allagash Waterway

On June 17, 16 scouts from Troops 260 and 262 embarked on their biennial adventure to canoe the Allagash Waterway. The adventure began with a 10-hour road trip to a camp in Northern Maine. The next day started with a bumpy and dusty three-hour trek through the logging roads in the Northern Maine Woods, to the drop-in site at Churchill Dam. The scouts then spent the next five days camping and canoeing to the beautiful waterway. The total traverse was over 65 miles. Highlights included multiple moose and eagle sightings, plus other wildlife, amazing sunrises and sunsets and memories to last a lifetime.

A picture is worth a thousand words. . . . . . check out the beauty the scouts were able to enjoy all week long!
