The annual Carol Sing will be held on Sunday, December 8 at 4 p.m. at the historical First Baptist Church on 1217 Hill Street, Suffield.
What a year for this little church on the hill. Earlier this year a woodchuck got into the building and tried to get out by chewing the mullions on the windows. This caused extensive damage which was repaired over the summer. Many thanks to Tom DiBlasi, Jim Kent and Glenn Neilson for their many hours of work to complete these repairs. Also, during the summer, major repairs to the steeple were done by Brian Doyon. As if this wasn’t enough, the old maple tree in front of the church was toppled by a storm and needed to be cleaned up and removed. Needless to say, the church could not be used for the August services. But it is now ready for the time-honored traditional carol sing.
Come and join in on this joyous event of family fun in the heated sanctuary. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served.
