Holiday closures: The library will close at 5 p.m. on Monday December 23 and will remain closed for December 24 and 25 for Christmas. We will also be closing at 5 p.m. on December 31 and will remain closed January 1 for New Years. We will be closed Monday, January 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Thursday Readers Book Discussion Group – Thursday, December 26 and January 30 at 1 p.m.
Get together on the last Thursday of the month with other readers to discuss a book. Keep an eye on our website for December and January titles. Books are available at the library. Registration is not required.
Rise to the Challenge Book Group – Monday, December 9 and January 13 at 6:30 pm
Join us in reading and discussing books that have been challenged and/or banned. December’s book will be Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy by Tui T. Sutherland and January’s book will be Lush by Natasha Friend. Copies of both books will be available at the library. Registration is not required.
Wanderlust Club – Wednesday January 29 at 2 p.m.
Wanderlust Club – where travel enthusiasts unite to celebrate the thrill of adventure and discovery. Come join your fellow travelers (or people interested in learning about different places) to swap stories, share experiences and travel tips! There will be no Wanderlust in December, in January we will be focusing on the sunny Caribbean.
Wish Tree
KML, in partnership with Suffield Community Aid, is supporting local families during this holiday season. Unleash the magic of the holidays by granting a family’s wish from the giving tree. Stop by and pick a wish from the tree. We will be collecting the gifts through December 14.

The Suffield Players will be here to do another great page to stage reading! The play will be Kimberly Akimbo by David Lindsey-Adaire. Light refreshments will be served.

The Tooth Fairy vs. Santa with Jamie Deenihan – Sat. December 7 at 10:30 a.m.
Author Jamie Deenihan will be reading her Christmas book, The Tooth Fairy vs Santa. “Blue can’t wait to complete his first mission to become a Tooth Fairy. So when he arrives at a child’s house to collect her tooth and leave a coin, he’s surprised to see Santa there. Turns out it’s Christmas Eve, and jolly old Saint Nick is not ready to share the holiday! A competition to claim the night begins, but who will win the battle–Santa or the Tooth Fairy?” Books will be available for purchase. Recommended for children Preschool to grade 2.
