February Artist Featured at KML

The Suffield Arts Council will feature a collection of paintings by artist Susan Racine of Blandford, Mass. in February., entitled, “New England to Europe”.

The display will hang February 3 – 28 in the Pinney Gallery of the Kent Memorial Library, 50 North Main St.

A long-term President of the Blandford Cultural Council, Sue paints watercolor renderings of life, including farm scenes, landscapes and both urban and suburban views. Herself a student, she has studied with Stanley Malek, Ruth Laprise, Joan Boryta, and Jeri Hamel. A member of Arts West in Westfield, Agawam Artists and Artisans, her work has won awards, and critical acclaim throughout New England. Her work will be found in public and private collections.

A “Meet The Artist” Reception, open to the public, will happen on Thursday evening, February 13, from 6-8 p.m.

Sue will host a special two hour “Meet ‘n Greet” session on Thursday, February 6, for those who are unable to attend the evening reception. This is also open to the public.

This show was made possible due to the collective efforts of the artist, The Suffield Arts Council, and the Kent Memorial Library Staff.
