Parents, ever wonder what growing up in today’s society is like? Introducing “Raising Suffield,” a podcast for parents hosted by Kelly Giannuzzi. Kelly is the Director of Suffield Youth Services and works closely with the youth in town to empower young people to thrive in many different areas: personal growth, resilience, and community engagement. She not only works with youth but also guides parents. Kelly began working on her podcast “Raising Suffield” to allow parents to get a closer look into what their children’s lives may look like in this crazy time. As a high school student and a young person in Suffield, I feel it’s important for parents to remain involved in their children’s lives and stay informed about what lies ahead. Staying connected with your child is key to fostering a strong and positive relationship.
In each episode, Kelly hopes to explore topics such as positive school environments, driving rules and regulations, technology and social media and much more. Kelly will also have various guest speakers who will be featured on “Raising Suffield”, including School Resource Officer Randy Roman and local therapist Taylor Piggot. You’ll hear a variety of stories and perspectives on issues your children may encounter now or in the future, along with guidance on how you, as a parent, can connect with and support them. While she doesn’t tell you how to parent, she offers valuable tips and advice, since she has a close connection with many of the youth in Suffield.
