Suffield Youth Services is excited to introduce its newest program, Thrive Tribe. Thrive Tribe was created for students in grades 3-5 and focuses on building self-confidence, encouraging resilience, and creating connections through meaningful conversations and activities.

Back Row: Vir Singhania, Everett Pillsbury, Magnus Smetana, Ryan Smetana. Middle: Mary Avila, Ollie Reed, Autumn Herchuck, Spencer Reed, Jack Fendt. Front Row: Teddy Tschannen, Luke Cianci, Caleb Hercheck
The goal of this group is to provide young learners with essential life skills such as goal setting and coping mechanisms for challenging situations. Each week students will participate in hands-on activities that encourage self-reflection while fostering a sense of purpose in the world. Thrive Tribe is all about empowering kids with the tools they need to navigate challenges and build strong connections as they do so.
Already this group has discussed their short and long-term goals and have identified how their strengths and support systems can help them along the way. It’s never too early (or too late) to help youth unlock their potential and believe that they are capable of anything.
During our first session, one student discussed that his long-term goal is to become a high-paid NFL athlete. His reason for wanting a hefty paycheck? Well, he wants to set the record for the largest donation to charity, of course! Suffield, you’ve got some pretty incredible kids living here!
With a mix of group discussions and interactive exercises, each session offers a dynamic approach to learning that keeps students actively involved. Topics covered will range from emotional intelligence to kindness and resilience, helping students develop skills that will benefit them throughout their lifetime. I am excited to provide a space where students can grow, learn, and support one another in a fun and engaging way.
The program will run for four weeks and is open to all students in grades 3-5. For more information on registering your child for a future session, follow Suffield Youth Services on Facebook for upcoming announcements.
