The Suffield Art Trail is centered around connecting people with the artists and organizations that make Suffield a hub for creativity, giving attendees a chance to meet artists, view their work up close, and even purchase original pieces and prints.

Suffield is once again putting the spotlight on local creativity with the return of the Suffield Art Trail on Saturday, May 17. This special, town-wide event invites residents and visitors alike to explore an array of artistic talent by touring studios, galleries, and cultural spaces right here in our community.

Participants can visit the following locations throughout the day:

  • Kent Memorial Library (50 North Main St) 10 a.m.– 5 p.m. Browse this month’s featured artist’s work in the library gallery.
  • Suffield Senior Center (145 Bridge St) 10 a.m.– 4 p.m. Featuring a live painting demo by the talented Tobacco Valley Artists Association.
  • The King House Museum (232 South Main St) 1 p.m.– 4 p.m. Tour the house which will be showcasing a variety of works by local artists.
  • The Phelps-Hatheway House (55 South Main St) 9 a.m.– 2 p.m. Celebrate the 47th Annual May Market which features plants, arts and crafts.
  • 880 Burbank Studios (880 Burbank Ave) 12 p.m.– 4 p.m. Featuring resident artists, Suffield High School student art and special guest exhibitors.
  • Christine MacClintic’s Personal Studio (472 South Main St) 12 p.m.–4 p.m. A unique opportunity to step into the working studio of a well-known local artist and view her collection.

The Suffield Art Trail is an opportunity to celebrate local culture, support the arts, and connect with the people behind the work. It brings patrons to local institutions, encourages tourism, and enhances Suffield’s reputation as a creative and vibrant town. Whether you’re an art lover, a curious neighbor, or a family looking for a fun day out, the Art Trail offers something inspiring for everyone.
