Meditation Center Opens In West Suffield

Suffield is pleased to welcome Nalandabodhi Connecticut – Northern Branch, an international Buddhist organization dedicated to promoting wisdom, compassion, and mindful living. The center recently opened its doors at 1380 Mountain Road. The former Peoples Bank building has been thoughtfully renovated under the guidance of Lucy McMahon.

Nalandabodhi, founded under the spiritual direction of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, offers meditation, study and community-based practices grounded in the Buddhist tradition. Their mission is to support individuals in cultivating awareness, kindness and inner resilience. Their motto is: Be Wise, Go Kind, Live Fully.

Sunday Morning Practices at Nalandabodhi:
8:30 a.m. – Doors Open
9– 9:30 a.m. – Prayers for Peace
10 – 11:30 a.m. – Joining NBCT Bloomfield on Zoom
10 – 10:50 a.m. – Chants and Shamatha Meditation
11 – 11:30 a.m. – Lojong Discussion

A special thank-you goes to the North Central Chamber of Commerce for assisting with the ribbon-cutting ceremony and for providing photographs. Their partnership continues to strengthen connections between local organizations and new businesses in town.
