Whether attending for the history, the music, or the chance to take home a tree, Suffield residents are invited to gather, reflect, and celebrate the roots of liberty that continue to grow today.
The ceremony commemorates the United States 250th anniversary of our country and honors the enduring ideals represented by the Liberty Tree — an important symbol of freedom during the American Revolution.
The program will include a proclamation from the Town of Suffield read by First Selectman Colin Moll. State Representative Tami Zawistowski will also attend. Local students will present the history of the Liberty Tree, and the event will feature patriotic music performed by student musicians as well as the unveiling of the Liberty Tree marker.
The first 25 households attending will receive Scarlet Oak saplings donated by Bartlett Tree Experts.
Organizers invite residents of all ages to attend this meaningful community event celebrating America’s history while planting a living legacy for future generations.
