The Fran Aniello Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Friday October 16 at the Crestview County Club.
The main purpose of the event is to raise funds for annual scholarships given to Suffield residents who are graduating student athletes at Suffield High School or Suffield Academy. Proceeds also help to defray the costs of the Hall of Fame induction ceremony that honors Suffield’s finest athletes and coaches. It will be a four-person scramble with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start at Crestview Country Club. For more information, including tournament entry and sponsor forms, please visit sahof.org/golf-tournament or email info@sahof.org. The deadline for players to register is October 8.
The tournament serves as a tribute to Fran Aniello, a member of the Hall of Fame who passed away in 2015 after over 30 years as a basketball/golf/soccer coach and Athletic Director at Suffield High School.
Fran was also on the SAHOF committee and was the primary organizer of the golf tournament for the first several years it was held.
